HERE TO HELP

Keep the session moving.

Patchlane is currently in development. These notes describe the present desktop workflow; final Store setup will be published with the release.

Contact support

For Patchlane questions, bug reports, privacy requests, or accessibility feedback, use the BartLabs contact page and mention Patchlane. Include your macOS version, Patchlane version, Ableton version, plugin name and format, and the steps that led to the issue. Do not send license keys, passwords, audio projects, or unrelated personal files.

My plugin is missing

Choose the parent Plug-Ins folder containing Components, VST3 or VST. Personal and system plugin folders are separate; you may need to select both. Rescan after installing a plugin. Cataloging a bundle does not prove that Live supports or has enabled it.

Ableton is not connected

Open Live and check that the compatible PluginGallery bridge is configured as a Control Surface, with MIDI Input and Output set to None. The Store candidate does not install scripts into Live. Once configured, Patchlane monitors the local connection and attempts to reconnect automatically.

A plugin will not load

First try loading it directly in Live. Enable its format and folder in Live settings, complete the vendor activation if required, and select a suitable track. If the plugin crashes when opened directly, report it to its developer as well. Patchlane cannot guarantee every third-party plugin.

Thumbnails and local data

Open a plugin’s details to import a screenshot or remove your custom image. Favorites, recent loads, shortcuts and folder permissions are stored locally. The Store app’s sandbox keeps its settings separate from the development preview.

Compatibility and release

The current target is macOS 14 or later, with Ableton Live 12 integration. Apple silicon and Intel binaries compile; broader hardware and operating-system runtime testing remains in progress. A public release date has not been announced.
